I did not find communism at home, that's for sure. And even politics. And then of childhood I remember almost nothing, and just the first seven years in which - according to Marina Tsvetaeva - everything is already done. I have no nostalgia for an age or resentment happy tears shed for the night. It must have been common childhood, loving, an antechamber, a chrysalis from which I had to flutter in a hurry to get out mo 'butterfly. All the children except me seemed to butterflies.
I was born in Pula in the twenties with dismay Population: born in Pula (Italy), Pula (Yugoslavia), Pula (Croatia). Then it was Italy. On the tip of Istria, between the green and white rocks carved by date mussels.
